About this event


Building you first Engineering Team Congratulations! Not only are you the sole technical guru, but you're also the CTO. You recognise that you can't get where you need to go without more people and skillsets, but how do you do that? Who should you hire? What skills should you learn? What should you do first? What should you definitely not do?

In this first of two roundtable discussions, we'll be asking for advice from those who have already trodden this path, and built an engineering team of about a dozen people. What worked well. What was a disaster? What surprised you? What would you do differently next time?

Host Bio Chris is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Netwealth and is responsible for the vision and delivery of a world class wealth management platform. His role covers technology selection, architectural design, software development, hiring and leadership.

He is a Microsoft Certified Professional, who is passionate about turning Software Development into Software Craftsmanship and has been developing and shipping working software for more than 20 years.
