About this event According to http://imaginovation.net the number one goal for CTOs in 2022 is to develop a technical vision for a company. Luis Augusto Weir, the Director of Technology at Oracle, states the main focus of CTOs should be on vision and strategy. The executives also need to support flagship customers in defining their modern strategies, especially around APIs and microservices. Therefore, a good CTO shouldn’t get lost in the woods but instead take a helicopter view approach. With this in mind, we felt that creating a technical vision would be a great subject for this month's London CTOs roundtable event. We will be talking about how to develop a technical vision and answering the below questions.
How do you make sure you stay up to date with the latest trends?

How do you ensure everyone is aligned with the vision?

This will be an open roundtable event, the discussions will be free-flowing but we’ll also be getting a variety of perspectives from our special invited guests including Consulting CTOs, Tech Advisors, Startup CEOs, Chief People Officers and Talent Consultants who all have experience in success and failure when it comes to hiring CTOs and senior tech leaders.
This event is organised by RecWorks on behalf of the London CTOs.
RecWorks are the creators of many groups and communities including Meet-a-Mentor a free slack group that introduces aspiring CTOs to experienced CTOs, as well as more junior developers - 3000 introductions made and counting!
They also founded one of the largest Java User Groups in Europe - the 8000+ strong London Java Community. They are a community-driven recruitment agency focussing on tech placements in London.
London CTOs are a 10-year old London based CTO community with over 1200 members.
