About this event
B Lab’s research has shown that the average year on year growth rate of UK B Corps is 14 percent, 28 times higher than the national economic growth of 0.5 percent. But what is a bcorp?
Many people have heard the term Bcorp or may have heard that Patagonia was California’s first bcorp but don’t truly understand what a bcorp is, their relevance is in the world and what is involved in becoming b-certified.
In this event we’ll be joined by a number of CTOs and people from bcorps, including some that are currently going through the lengthy process of what it’s like to become b-certified. They can talk to you about what it’s like and their personal motivations that are driving them to want to shift their entire business in this direction.
So whether you have chosen to take on a role as CTO of a bcorporation, or whether you have never heard of the term bcorp you can come along to engage in or spectate on a discussion around this.
We are taking questions in advance, these will be put to our group during the session which will be moderated throughout by Abbi Leverton. Feel free to post your questions now using the sign up form or simply sit back and watch.
This is an online event starting at 1.00 pm BST. What's the point: Learning and networking.
By bringing people together around this one topic for a focussed session, we hope you will get a chance to learn what others in the space are doing. If you have any burning questions now is the time to ask them, but also to see what other people are wondering. We also hope that you will find other people that share your opinions and can make some connections with kindred spirits with whom you can build ongoing relationships outside of this event.
Who should attend: Experienced and aspiring CTOs, interims, advisors with an opinion on the matter and anyone who works in tech and has responsibility for developing and engaging staff.
