Check out this video from the vault from an event we ran in March 2020.
Here is the original synopsis:
About this event
We are in unprecedented times, companies have had to shift their tech teams to remote working, in many cases for the first time in their companies history. This has been an enormous cultural shift for both the teams and the tech leaders alike.
We were having lots of questions on how to make this shift, so we partnered with people that have been working this way for years who were happy to share their experiences and last week ran a panel event on running remote software teams. We had a lot of good feedback and so this time are going to run a Q+A event on hiring and on-boarding people into those teams remotely.
Both hiring and on-boarding people without actually meeting them can bring unique challenges. We are going to speak to a panel including Jon Topper, CEO/CTO of the Scale Factory, James McGivern, CTO and Devoxx founding steering committee member, and Martijn Verburg, Principal Engineering Group Manager at Microsoft, who have hired regularly in this way for years.
This is an online event starting at 12.30pm GMT. Attendees will be sent a link on or before the day of the event
